Spunlace
In the ANDRITZ nonwovens product range, customers have access to the neXline spunlace technology, wich combines the JETlaceâ hydroentanglement system,
the neXaqua dewatering unit, the PERFOdry through air dryer, and the neXcal Twin embossing calendar. All these units together offer producers the opportunity
to enhance the performance of their spunlace lines, with high productivity and very attractive energy efficiency. One of ANDRITZ’s targets is to offer the right
solution in terms of capacity, performance, configuration, and energy savings, while complying with the specifications from spunlace producers.
Thanks to its expertise, ANDRITZ Perfojet has developed several JETlaceâ machines designed to meet nonwovens producers needs.
Spunjet
This technology entails the hydro-entanglement of continuous filament in line, creating a new generation of nonwovens.
In fact, spunjet nonwoven fabrics demonstrate unique properties:
- 25% to 30% higher tensile strength
- 50% to 80% more bulkiness
This new technology has been introduced as a response to nonwovens producers who are looking for new market opportunities for technical applications such as
geotextiles, roofing, synthetic leather....
SPUNjet® fabrics marry the strength of spunbond and the softness of spunlace. The Spunjet process offers additional fabric properties with regard to softness,
drape, tensile strength and isotropic MD:CD ratio. Spunjet lines can operate at speeds of up to 800m/min.
